Fighting in Zamzam camp - MSF concern for civilians and colleagues

Fighting between RSF and the Joint Forces is taking place within Zamzam camp near El Fasher threatening hundreds of thousands of people who have already lived through shelling and starvation

We are worried for the safety of civilians & our MSF colleagues in Zamzam.

Today the MSF hospital in Zamzam received 17 patients. Yesterday when the RSF offensive first reached the camp we received 23 patients, seven additional people were dead on arrival

Our hospital cannot provide trauma surgery and there are no routes to treatment available

Saudi hospital in El Fasher is the closest hospital able to provide trauma care but it’s unreachable due to fierce clashes on the road. MSF calls all warring parties to spare civilians and allow them to escape the camp, and to protect medical staff and health facilities.
